Welcome early registration at Maison des Mines

From 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, first arrived participants in Paris are invited to pick up their badge and conference documents at « Maison des Mines », and share a welcome cocktail.

Monday:
Welcome reception at École de Chimie Library

From 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm, the official Welcome Reception of IIB 2019 will be held in the prestigious École de Chimie Library, where a dinner cocktail will be served.

Opened to participants and registered accompanying persons.

 

Wednesday:
Visits in Paris

After the lunch on Wednesday, the afternoon is free. But the organizers offer you the possibility to visit with guides some jewels of the City of Lights: Conciergerie and Sainte Chapelle, Panthéon with its Foucault’s pendulum, Minerals collections of the Sorbonne University at the Campus Pierre and Marie Curie, of the School of Mines (École des Mines), near the Luxembourg Garden, or of the Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle,…

Thursday:
Gala dinner on the river Seine

From 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm, take place on board on a famous parisian « bateau-mouche » and combine a gastronomic dinner cruise down the Seine with the show of the illuminated monuments: the Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame cathedral, the Conciergerie…

(Don’t forget to alert the organizers about your special dietary requirements in case of allergy or food intolerance.)

The meeting point for the gala dinner aboard a bateau mouche is « Port de la Conférence ». Address: Pont de l’Alma, Rive droite, 75008 PARIS.

50mn by foot, or 30-40 mn by Public Transport:

1) Subway-RER C Saint-Michel Notre-Dame

You can reach this RER C station by foot, walking down the Bvd Saint Michel, or by Bus 21 or 27, 25 rue Gay Lussac (in front of Finn Austria shop). Get off at « Saint Michel - Saint Germain ».

Any train, directions « Gare de Saint-Quentin en Yvelines (Montigny-le-Bretonneux) » or « Invalides », »Versailles », » Pontoise ». Get off at » INVALIDES » (2 stations).

2) Bus 63 at « Cluny »

58 rue des Écoles direction « Porte de la Muette ». Get off at « Pont des invalides ».

3) Subway-Métro (45 mn)

Line 7, at « Place Monge » direction » La Courneuve » up to « Chaussée d’Antin La Fayette », then change line 9 direction « Pont de Sèvres », up to « Alma-Marceau ».

Trip back:

RER C: any train on the platform towards « Saint Martin d’Etampes » or « Dourdan ».

Bus 63: direction « Gare de Lyon, » get off at » Cluny »

Métro: line 9 « Mairie de Montreuil, up to « Chaussée d’Antin La Fayette », then Line 7: Villejuif, or Mairie d’Ivry, up to « Place Monge ».
